INTERNATIONAL MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT PARTNERS EXPANDS BRANDING EXPERTISE
WASHINGTON DC, April 6, 2009 – International Media & Entertainment Partners, LLC, the
international media consultancy founded by former Discovery Communications executives, today
announced Kristin Stevens will join the firm as a digital media and marketing and branding
Stevens is an executive with digital media P&L experience as well as international marketing and
branding expertise in media products. Stevens has had key roles at Discovery Networks
International, AOL and MTV International.
“Kris strengthens International & Media Entertainment Partners’ expertise in digital media, as
well as marketing and branding,” said Dawn L. McCall, International Media & Entertainment
Partners’ managing partner. “Today’s multi-national media companies are looking for expertise
in cross-platform content use as well as brand management and Kris brings to our clients direct
experience in these developing areas.”
Most recently, Stevens was Vice President Digital Strategy for Animal Planet, one of Discovery
Communications’ core networks. In that position, Stevens had P&L responsibility for the
interactive and digital platform extensions of the network, established a digital platform
windowing strategy that increased digital usage as well as network viewership and created a
best-practice viral marketing program.
From 2004 to 2007, Stevens was Vice President, Marketing for Discovery Networks
International, where she created a global brand management strategy for the division’s 19
networks and oversaw the development of brand positioning, naming, identity and marketing
strategies for the division’s new portfolio of lifestyle networks and a global HD network. Stevens
also developed a research program designed to help international programming executives
increase the effectiveness of pilot testing.
Prior to joining Discovery, Stevens was Executive Director Brand Strategy and Executive
Director Brand Metrics & Brand Relationship Management for AOL. She created a
comprehensive brand architecture framework for AOL and its sister brands and determined key
metrics to monitor and report brand health.
Stevens held several marketing and operations positions for MTV International from 1991 to
1999. In addition to overseeing marketing activities for MTV’s international channels, she was
the marketing launch director for channels in India, Asia and Latin America.
Stevens holds a B.S. degree in Broadcasting and Film from Boston University.
